Author Instructions

Presentations

  • Oral presentation: All accepted papers are invited to a 5-minute oral presentation. We require at least one author from each paper to attend the workshop in person and deliver the talk. We will announce the Best Presentation Award at the end of the workshop, which will be selected based on the quality of the presentation. Schedule for the spotlight presentations.

  • Poster session: All accepted papers are invited to a poster session. The poster should be no larger than 4' x 4'. We will announce the Best Poster Award at the end of the workshop, which will be selected based on the quality of the poster.

Important dates

  • Paper submission: OpenReview

  • Submission deadline: April 25, 2025 (Anywhere on Earth)

  • Notification of acceptance: May 6, 2025

  • Camera-ready submission: May 15, 2025 (Anywhere on Earth)

  • Workshop date: May 19, 2025 (full day)

Submission guidelines

  • The submission should be extended abstracts (1-2 pages + references + optional appendix) in the standard ICRA conference format.

  • The review process will be single-blind. At least two reviewers will review the submitted abstracts based on the novelty and relevance, and an area chair will provide the meta review. The final decisions will be made by all organizers.

  • Accepted extended abstracts will be made available on the workshop website.

Scope

The PTAS workshop expects fresh ideas and early proposals on the following topics:

  • Quantifying and measuring trust in human-centered autonomy

  • Law, regulation, and technical standards for autonomous systems

  • Frameworks for public oversight and governance of autonomy

  • Operationalizing and expressing safety assurances for autonomy

  • Explainability and interpretability of autonomous systems’ decisions

  • Open challenges and blue-sky ideas in trustworthy autonomy
